Mac App Store FAQ

Which apps are available on the Mac App Store?

Knapsack and Bullfrog are currently available on the Mac App Store. LicenseKeeper is currently only available through our company store

What if I already own one of these products? Do I need to buy it again?

No, your existing license is still valid, and you can continue to use it without having to purchase again from the Mac App Store.

Are there any differences between the App Store version and the version on your web site?

There is no difference in functionality. There are a few internal differences to support Mac App Store specific requirements.

Updates for apps purchased through the Mac App Store may lag behind updates released through our website due to Apple's review process.

How do I get updates to apps that I have purchased?

Apps purchased via the Mac App Store must be upgraded exclusively through the Mac App Store. You will receive notifications and download updates through the Updates tab in the Mac App Store application. Because of Apple's review process, updates for apps purchased through the Mac App Store may lag behind updates released through our website. Always wait for updates via the App Store for apps purchased there.

Apps purchased directly from our online store are updated directly from inside the application. If you have Check for Updates set to automatically check on startup you will be notified when updates are available. You can also use the File > Check for Updates menu item to verify you are running the latest release.
